    January

    DESIGN CLASSES: Consultants Liz Snowdon and Rachel Collins—Designs staged on a table 29” from the floor, covered with a beige cloth. Space allotted is 20”x 20”. Plant material list is required. Background and/or underlay optional except where required.

    1. “Rose Parade” – A design featuring one or more roses. Designer’s choice of style and other components.

    2. “Wake up the New Year” – A stretch design, which is a creative design in two units, one smaller than the other, having a prominent component connecting the two units and referred to as the “stretch component.”

    February

    1. “Pretty in Pink” – A petite design appropriate for Valentine’s Day, not to exceed 8” in height, width, or depth. Placed on a table 29” from the floor. Staging panel and underlay required.

    2. “The Patriot” – A creative line-mass design. Designer’s choice of plant material and components.

    March

    DESIGN CLASSES: Consultants Liz Snowdon and Rachel Collins—Designs staged on a table 29” from the floor, covered with a beige cloth. Space allotted is 20”x 20”. Plant material list is required. Background and/or underlay optional except where required.

    1. “Spring has Sprung” – NOVICE CLASS: A parallel design consisting of three groupings of plant material and optional components with a strong parallel placement in a single container or base.

    2. “Master Chef” – A creative design incorporating a kitchen implement. Designer’s choice of style, plant material and components.

    3. “Trash to Treasure” –Title and topic to be announced by GCFP. Winning entry will be entered at the District XI meeting in March.

    April

    DESIGN CLASSES: Consultants Liz Snowdon and Rachel Collins—Designs staged on a table 29” from the floor, covered with a beige cloth. Space allotted is 20”x 20”. Plant material list is required. Background and/or underlay optional except where required.

    1. “Here’s Looking at You” – A petite reflective design, containing reflective materials giving back light to the viewer. May use reflective containers, plant material or other components. Not to exceed 10” in height, width, or depth. Placed on a table 29” from the floor. Staging panel and underlay required. Mirrors as underlay or background are not permitted.

    2. “April Showers” – An underwater design, having some or all plant material and other optional components submerged underwater to create visual interest.

    DESIGN CLASSES: Consultants Liz Snowdon and Rachel Collins—Designs staged on a table 29” from the floor, covered with a beige cloth. Space allotted is 20”x 20”. Plant material list is required. Background and/or underlay optional except where required.

     
    “Mother’s Day” – NOVICE CLASS: A tray with a place setting for one with an appropriately-sized decorative unit with stability, which should be in scale to the place setting. Maximum tray size 20” x 15.” Silverware not required.         

    “Hit the Road” – a spatial thrust design, consisting of two parallel placements of similar components.
     

    June

    We will have an NGC Small Standard Flower show at Cathedral Village on the first Thursday or Friday in June.
